One thing I learned at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in South Dakota was that horses are dynamic beings, which makes them a wonderful subject to photograph. They move gracefully and slowly when walking about and look invincible when running. They are playful, and more striking, they are kind. This shot exemplifies my belief that they have these beautiful souls that see things differently and I wonder how much they want us to see what they see. Many people revere them and have special relationships with them; there has to be something to that. I can't help but think their eyes can be so much more powerful than their gallup.
