Battery Park, New York City, NY
This was taken late last year at a photo walk in NYC hosted by Trey Ratcliff. I knew that there would be a lot of people given his immense following, but I never expected this turnout. We started near the World Trade Center site and worked our way down to the water at Battery Park. This was taken at the entrance to the Park in front of a metal sculpture. I was trying to get away from the crowd for a bit and caught this surreal scene which seemed almost cartoonish to me. You think teachers complain about large classroom sizes being difficult, try going on a photo walk with a famous photographer that draws hundreds of fans and all their gear! I'm a supporter of small classroom sizes, so I think I'll be sticking to photography workshops with only a dozen or so participants instead of huge photo walks. That's just me of course.
